Meat Birds

All of our meat birds are raised in chicken tractors after graduating from the brooders. These tractors are moved all around the property to both feed the birds and fertilize the land. We move the tractors often and are always checking for evidence of predators trying to get in. The farm is next to public hunting ground full of predators of many kinds which is why we chose to use chicken tractors instead of free range. Since we only raise meat birds in the warm months there is no need for a permanent coop.
